Police update after suspicious death of man at house in Huddersfield

An investigation into the death of a man in Huddersfield is continuing, police have confirmed.

Simon Stell, 59, was found dead at his home in Park Road, Crosland Moor, on the evening of Thursday, September 5. West Yorkshire Police launched a murder investigation following the discovery of Mr Stell and said he had suffered serious injuries.

Police later arrested a 56-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

This week a force spokesman said the cause of Mr Stell's death remained under investigation as well as the circumstances of his death. They said: "Enquiries remain ongoing into the cause and circumstances of Mr Stell’s death.

"The 56-year-old man arrested in connection with his death remains on conditional police bail."

In a previous appeal, the force asked anyone with information to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, quoting Operation Pulborough.
