POLICE: Tyler man in custody after shooting at woman from Taco Bell drive-thru

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – The Tyler Police Department said a man is in custody after he attempted to shoot a woman at the Taco Bell drive-thru on Monday.

According to Tyler Police Department PIO Andy Erbaugh, at around 8:15 p.m. at the Taco Bell on Fifth Street a man identified as, Steven Murray Williams, 64 of Tyler, got in an altercation with an unidentified woman.

Reportedly, Williams shot at the woman from the drive-thru, but did not hit her. Officials said Williams and the woman did not know each other.

“No injuries were reported. He was stopped on E. Fifth Street and arrested without incident,” Erbaugh said.

Police said Williams will be booked into the jail for aggravated assault after he is released from the hospital from an unrelated illness.
