Police Urge Caution as Denver Metropolitan Area Hit With Flash Flooding

Flash floods inundated Broomfield, Colorado, on Tuesday, August 16, as the National Weather Service (NWS) reported the city experienced 20 to 25 percent of its average annual precipitation in around two hours.

According to the Broomfield Police Department, roads in the city were closed due to the flash floods.

“Please use caution and avoid areas experiencing flash flooding. The water is deeper than you may think,” the department said on Twitter.
