Police visit North Staffordshire house in search for 70 stolen Koi
Police have 'carried out enquiries' at a North Staffordshire house as they continue their hunt for 70 stolen Koi. Dad Ian Hatton has been left heartbroken after thieves broke into his Kidsgrove garden and made off with £15,000 worth of fish.
Now the constabulary has confirmed officers 'carried out enquiries' at an address also in Kidsgrove on Wednesday as part of the investigation. However the force has said 'the fish were not located'.
The raid occurred at around 2.25am on Monday morning with CCTV at Ian's Congleton Road home capturing three individuals breaking in. The 48-year-old estimates the value of the fish at around £15,000 - and they included Koi donated by a grieving woman following the death of her husband.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses. A spokeswoman said: "Our enquiries are ongoing."
