Police want to speak to this man after 'serious attack' at bus station

Police have released an image of a male they would like to speak to after a 'serious assault' at a bus station.

Officers say the 'vulnerable' victim was attacked at Wigan bus station May 18 of this year. The assault is said to have happened between 5.15am-5.30am.

Police have now issued a public appeal and have urged anyone who recognises the man pictured to come forward.

In a post on the 'Wigan and Leigh Police - GMP' Facebook page, officers said: "Officers would like to speak to the below individual in relation to an incident which occurred in Wigan Bus Station on 18th May 2024. The incident in question was a serious assault on a vulnerable member of the community and occurred around 05:15am-05:30am within the bus station at Stand K.

"Officers are appealing for any information which can help identify the male in the below image. If you know the male in question, please contact GMP on 101, or using our online chat system quoting reference CRI/06KK/0013705/24. We are grateful for any assistance anyone may be able to provide in progressing our investigation."
