Police warn of ‘significant travel disruption’ after three vehicle crash

Police have warned motorists to expect “significant disruption” after an accident on a Preston road.

The three vehicle crash accident took place at around 7:10am this morning (December 2) on Blackpool Road A5085 at the junction with Riversway.

A woman is said to have neck and back injuries.

Currently, two lanes are closed on the carriageway in the direction of Blackpool.

We will update you once the lanes have reopened.

A police spokesperson said:" We were called at 7.10am this morning to reports of a collision involving three vehicles on Blackpool Road, Preston.

"Emergency services attended. A woman was found to have suffered neck and back injuries which aren’t thought to be serious. Two lanes are closed for vehicle recovery.

"This is likely to cause significant disruption.

“Updates will follow once the accident is cleared.”
