The cost of living crisis is raging on with many families across Hull and East Yorkshire sadly struggling to make ends meet.

From bills to food, transport and childcare, there's plenty of juggling that families across the area are having to do each month.

In fact, plenty of people up and down the country are in a desperate bid to reduce their spending. A recent poll revealed that turning off the lights and using an air fryer have been vote the top energy-saving actions to lower bills across the UK.

Thankfully, April has seen the new Ofgem price cap come into force, meaning energy bills have dropped for millions. You can see how much you'll be saving here.

And while that is some good news, it doesn't alleviate the mounting pressured faced by many simply trying to make it to the end of the month.
