Poor Boy Who Asked Postman For JUNK MAIL To Read Is Swamped With Books From Around The World

A boy who couldn’t afford to buy books asked his postman if he had any spare junk mail he could read - but what he actually received was beyond his wildest dreams.

Twelve-year-old Mathew Flores was desperate to read something and asked postie Ron Lynch, who does the rounds in Salt Lake City, USA, if he could spare any free adverts.

When Lynch asked why, the boy told him that his family didn’t have much money and would take anything he could get his hands on.

Lynch decided to go one step further and asked if any of his Facebook friends could spare the odd book to donate.

He wrote: Today while delivering mail to his apartment complex, I saw him reading ads, and then he asked me if I had any extra mail he could read.

“He told me his wish is to have books to read. I told him the library had many, but he said they don’t have a car, and couldn’t afford the bus.”

Asking his friends to share the post to anyone who could help, he added: “Most kids his age want electronics!

“It’s great to see his desire, and you should have seen him beam when I said I could help!”

Expecting a few dozen books, Lynch was staggered when the post went viral - and literature started being sent in from all around the world.

People from India, Britain and Australia have now been sent and the young boy now has hundreds of books to get through.

Flores has promised to read every single book - and he has promised to share the books with his friends.
