Poor 'Sweet' Dog Found With Face Full of Porcupine Quills

An animal rescue service was recently called out to help a dog that ended up with a face full of quills after coming into contact with a porcupine.

The rescue was caught on video by Kirsten Yakimowic of the Paws Up Program, based in Alberta, Canada.

“No words,” she captioned the video on TikTok. “This one was hard to see. This sweet boy is so resilient.”

She said in the video caption the dog’s tail was “still wagging” despite the dramatic injury. “He knows he is going to get help.”

According to the rescue service, the dog, named Brutus, was abandoned on the property with another dog after the family moved.

Yakimowic told Storyful the rescue service brought Brutus and the other pooch in, and all quills were removed, she said.
