Ken Bruce left his Radio 2 mid-morning show after 30 years earlier this month.
He was the station’s longest serving male broadcaster and the 10am to 1pm show had an audience of over 8 million.
Mr Bruce’s departure was announced in a tweet by Radio 2 on January 17.

He was due to continue hosting his show until the end of the month, but the 72-year old’s departure came much earlier than expected on March 3.
Mr Bruce, who lives in Thame, announced in a Tweet that the BBC had asked him to leave early.
I will be presenting my last show on Radio 2 next Friday. I had intended fulfilling my contract until the end of March but the BBC has decided it wants me to leave earlier. Let’s enjoy the week ahead!

But Mr Bruce’s fanbase were excited to find out that he would be starting a new show on Greatest Hits Radio.
From whether the beloved game PopMaster will feature, to how you can listen to it, here is everything you need to know about Mr Bruce’s new show.
When does the show on Greatest Hits Radio start?
Mr Bruce has said that his new daily show on Greatest Hits Radio will begin on Monday, April 3.
That is exactly one month after he presented his last show on BBC.
Greatest Hits Radio is owned by Bauer which is an increasingly big player in radio.
The company also owns Kiss and Absolute.
Greatest Hits Radio already boasts the likes of former Radio 2 presenter Simon Mayo and Martin Kemp among its presenting ranks.
How to listen to Ken Bruce’s new show?
The Greatest Hits Radio station can be found on FM and DMB.
People will also be able to listen to the show through the Greatest Hits’ website or through their app.
Alternatively, the station can be found on Freeview channel 716 and Sky channel 0151.
Will PopMaster feature on the new show?
Mr Bruce has promised that all his beloved records from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s will take centre stage in his new show on Greatest Hits Radio.
He will also be bringing the famous PopMaster quiz with him, to which he owns the rights to.
PopMaster is a daily pop quiz and involves members of the public dialling in and testing their knowledge on a number of questions.
Who is replacing Ken Bruce on Radio 2?
Vernon Kay has already been confirmed to replace Mr Bruce as presenter on Radio 2’s mid-morning show.
Mr Kay is best known for presenting ITV’s All Star Family Fortunes.
He has also fronted various shows on Channel 4’s T4.
Mr Kay is due to start presenting the show in May.
In the meantime Gary Davies is hosting the 10am to 1pm slot on a temporary basis.
