Popular Edinburgh cocktail bar suddenly closes leaving customers gutted

A popular cocktail bar in Edinburgh has shut its doors, leaving customers gutted.

The Cocktail Mafia, located on Charlotte Lane, was brought to Edinburgh by the same team behind the Raging Bull, another popular cocktail bar famous for its variations of Espresso Martinis.

The Cocktail Mafia first opened at the end of 2021 but has told customers they are now closed.

In a heartfelt message on their website, the team thanked their customers of the support as they hope to open again in the future.

On Cocktail Mafia's website, they state: "Sadly The Cocktail Mafia has closed its doors permanently. We do hope you return at home point and open at a new venue in the future.

"Watch this space and thank you for your support."

With over 45 cocktails, guests were invited to sit back and enjoy the swish bar. Along with a range of drinks, they also offered cocktail masterclasses which proved popular with parties and were praised on Tripadvisor.

In a five-star review, one customer said: "Excellent location and fantastic choice of cocktails and knowledgeable staff. Ambiance good, not too busy for a late Saturday afternoon."

Another said: "It started off with a very friendly greeting from who I can only imagine is the master mixologist. We then were seated at a very nice table near the window, and the experience exceeded our expectations with the amazing cocktails and great blends. Anybody traveling to this end of Edinburgh should definitely stop in and give this a shot. Seriously, a hidden treasure."

The pub gained 4.7 stars on the review site and will surely be missed by many.
