A popular Edinburgh southside cafe has hit the market after closing unexpectedly last month.

Coffee Angel, on Nicolson Street, appeared deserted before appearing 'permanently closed' online, with the ground floor property now added to Rightmove in search for new owners.

The team's second branch on Brandon Terrace is also temporarily closed according to Google as the Newington cafe is available for just shy of £3,000 a month and £35,000 per annum.

The team have made no mention of the closure on social media, with the cafe having proved itself as a popular spot for students and locals in the area.

The specious unit features a large seating area and benefits from "extensive triple frontage." A description of the property on Rightmove adds: "Internally provides open-plan accommodation with kitchen together with male / female & ambulant WC.

"The subjects are located within the busy and popular Newington area of Edinburgh on the west side of Nicolson Street, by its junction with West Nicolson Street in close proximity to Edinburgh University."
