Popular Essex park to be transformed for two-day-long Oktoberfest
A huge Oktoberfest event will return to Chelmsford for the 5th year for two days of Bavarian fun. Taking place in Central Park, Chelmsford, the organisers of the event have said that the park will be transformed for two days in October into a "Bavarian bash".
The widely regarded "Oompah" bands will be performing their own blend of "oompop", with lots of audience interaction to get the party going. You can expect all of the traditional Oktoberfest singing, thigh-slapping and drinking games to add to the lively atmosphere. The band will mix traditional German tunes with modern classics, creating a unique and fun vibe worth taking a trip to.
It also wouldn't be Oktoberfest without traditional German food and drink. There will be a range of hot and cold dishes, but the sausages and pretzels are definitely the most popular.

There will obviously also be an abundance of bier options, and other beverage if you are looking for something else. The festival also has 2-pint steins for an even more hearty Oktoberfest experience!
The Chelmsford Oktoberfest will be taking place on both October 25 and 26. Tickets cost from £15, depending if you would rather sit or stand - and for something a bit different, this Bavarian bash is definitely worth taking a trip to this Autumn.
