A popular Essex sports pub has announced that it will close its doors to customers at the beginning of 2025. The Sarah Moore pub in Leigh on Sea has been wildly popular among the community for years, but it will sadly shut down for good soon as it is being turned into a residential property.

The pub was a fan favourite for watching sports, complete with Sky Sports and TNT Sports coverage, and the community cheered on at every game. The local was perfect for settling down with a pint, but it also had a huge beer garden that was often chock-full when the sun came out!

Sarah Moore also often hosted brilliant live music events, with Essex covers band Redonizm often attracting big crowds to the pub. As the final event before it closes down on January 4, 2025, the pub will be hosting a "Sarah no more" party.

Sarah Moore pub posted on Facebook yesterday (October 28): "Unfortunately, we have some sad news to share today. Myself and will have been informed that lease term on the building has come to end.

"The building has been up for sale for some time with the intentions of it being turned into a residential property. So on January 4, which will be the last evening before the pub closes down, we are throwing a "Sarah no more party" and we have the amazing Pete Lacey coming with Ska N Mash to enjoy our last evening.

"We would like to thank all our staff and the amazing customers over the years that we have been here, we appreciate everyone and have had some really good laughs. We plan to see out the next 9 weeks with a bang and have plenty of events arranged. But please all pop down the January 4 for the last night of trade - we want the pub to end in style. Thank you everyone!"
