The owners of a popular fast food venue in Cornwall have announced they are expanding their business and will soon be opening a second shop. Wesley Blair and Ed Powell founded Wing Shed in Truro in 2022 and have since received hundreds of positive reviews.

Now, they are planning to open a new shop in St Austell, which will be located at the site of the former Queenie's Pantry café on the main road to Mevagissey. The pair have yet to announce an opening date as they said the venue still needs a lot of work before it reopens.

However, they encouraged fans to keep an eye out for updates on their social media pages. Wes and Ed said they will be serving many of their classic dishes, as well as a few signature dishes from St Austell.

In a post shared on Instagram, the owners said: "The journey so far has been incredible, and we couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of our amazing customers and supporters. From the early days of building this dream to where we are now, your trust and following has been the driving force behind everything we do.

"We are so grateful for every purchase, recommendation, and kind word that has helped us grow and evolve. Thank you for being such an important part of our story. We are so excited for what’s ahead! We can’t wait to get stuck into this project. It’s going to be documented - keep watching!"

Wing Shed offers a range of primarily chicken-based dishes including the buffalo solider (ciabatta roll, buffalo tenders, sour cream, crispy onions, crispy basil, parmesan), juicy wings (hot honey, sweet chilli, Korean BBQ, peri peri, and more) and The Honey Buns (hot honey chicken tenders in a freshly steamed bao, topped with coconut and crispy shallot).
