Indian street food chain Chaiiwala has opened its doors at Birmingham Airport. The Desi tea shop and restaurant will be open daily for passengers to enjoy signature Indian dishes.

Customers can enjoy a range of popular products from Karak Coffee and Karak Chaii to food dishes such as English-Ish Breakfasts, Desi Breakfast, Breakfast Roti Wraps, Aloo Parantha, Samosas, and more. Customers can order via phone at the till or in advance to enjoy on the plane.

The chain serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, dessert, and all-day items. The concession at Birmingham Airport has been developed as a bespoke standalone kiosk and is the company's 115th store in the world. The concession itself has created 20 new jobs at the airport.

Chaiiwala was established in 2015 in Leicester and has gained a huge following with its fusion of authentic Indian street food with a Western twist. Customers will be able to use the low-level seating and serving areas across the departure lounge at Birmingham Airport while having clear visibility across the departures area to flight information boards and boarding gates.

Muhummed Ibrahim, Chief Executive Officer at Chaiiwala, said: "Chaiiwala is a different food concept from what is currently on offer at airports and travel hubs in the UK, and we are really looking forward to welcoming passengers to the store. Our goal is to enhance the experience of our travelling customers by providing exceptional dining options, and adding Chaiiwala to Birmingham Airport is a key part of that vision."

The Chaiiwala store will operate 17 hours a day between 3am to 10pm, catering to early-morning flyers and late-night travellers. Chaiiwala has 97 stores in the UK, with three stores in UAE and 15 in Canada.
