Cape Town - It’s a blessing and also a bit of a curse how easy it’s become to post anything on social media.
But accidentally posting a live video of yourself having sex – now that’s definitely not something to be thankful for.
Instagram star Kristen Hancher is an 18-year-old from Ontario, Canada, with more than 3,4 million followers on her Instagram page. She became famous after she began posting short videos of herself lip-syncing popular songs on the app Musical.ly.
Recently the teen was having some alone time with her boyfriend, Andrew Gregory, when one of them accidently pressed the record button and allowed more than 14 000 people into their private time, reported the Daily Mail.
Although the camera wasn’t facing the couple, audio of their intimate moment could be heard and her viewers ridded the live stream with a flurry of comments.
According to We the Unicorns, the stream was on for about three minutes before the couple realised that they were live.
Shortly after – like the true star she is – Kristen didn’t freak out as many of her fans were expecting but seemed to handle the embarrassing situation pretty well.
“Whoever saw my live, I just wanna apologise; that was totally NOT intentional. Delete it from your mind. That was super embarrassing and super uncomfortable,” she wrote on her Instagram page.
“But for real, guys, s**t happens. Accidents happen.
“You have to move on and pretend like it never happened and go on with your life. That’s what I’m gonna do,” she assured her fans.
She also apologised formally and proceeded to explain what she believes happened.
“I know you all have been upset because I never gave you guys a full explanation on what happened on my live.
“On my Instastory I accidentally went live and found out three minutes later and 14 000 people were watching. I’m so sorry,” she wrote.
