Portia de Rossi Is 'Super Supportive' of Ellen DeGeneres' Comedy Tour but 'Loves Having Her Home': Source
The former talk show host kicked off her final stand-up tour 'Ellen's Last Stand... Up' in June
Portia de Rossi will always be in Ellen DeGeneres' corner but loves having her home.
A source tells PEOPLE that the couple has been relying on each other as DeGeneres, 66, continues on her standup tour, which kicked off in June.
"They live in Montecito full-time and love it," the source says. "Ellen's on the road right now for a stand-up special. She canceled a few dates in July ... She's excited though. She plans on it being her final comedy tour. She talks about retiring."

Though de Rossi, 51, is "always super supportive" and knows that the tour is "very important," the source says that she "loves" spending time with her wife of 16 years in their home.
"They have created a special life in Montecito," the insider continues. "It's truly a magical place. Portia even has a whole equestrian facility on their property. One can say without any exaggeration that Portia is obsessed with her horses. It's her life passion."
In May, DeGeneres announced that she would be taking her stand up tour, Ellen's Last Stand... Up, to 27 shows around North America. Per a release shared with PEOPLE, the dates will be the “last opportunity” to witness DeGeneres in her “final curtain call.”

Shortly after kicking off the tour in June, the former talk show host cancelled her shows in Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle and Chicago, which were scheduled for dates between July and August.
DeGeneres' stand-up set broached some of her most controversial topics, like the alleged toxic workplace environment at The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The claims, which first emerged in a BuzzFeed News report, included being penalized for taking medical leave, instances of racial microaggressions and fear of punishment for raising complaints.
The comedian's long-running series concluded in 2022 after 19 seasons. Before that, she confirmed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the toxic workplace controversy was not a factor in her decision to conclude the series.
In a routine performed on July 1, the comedian joked that she "got kicked out of show business for being mean.”
“I can be demanding and impatient and tough,” she explained. “I am a strong woman. I am many things, but I am not mean.”

When later questioned about whether she would return to fame in the future, now that she has had time to reflect on her mistakes, DeGeneres gave a hard “no.”
“This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done,” she said.
