Yahoo News Posh Spice is back! Victoria Beckham films Carpool Karaoke with James Corden
Kids of the 90’s, it’s time to pop your hair in pigtails, dig out your platform boots and bring back your synchronised dance moves, as Victoria Beckham is returning to her Spice Girls roots for the latest edition of Carpool Karaoke.
The 42-year-old fashion designer revealed she was filming the popular Late Late Show segment with James Corden via an Instagram Story post on her page on Wednesday.
The former Spice Girl teased fans with a behind-the-scenes peek of the sketch, as she posted a picture stood alongside James, who is seen letting out a big hearty laugh.
She captioned the snap: “What is so funny @j_corden”, followed by a series of crying laughing emojis.
The official Late Late Show Instagram account then shared the same snap, along with the caption: “Just wait till you see what we’re up to with @victoriabeckham!”
“Yay I’m so excited,” one fan wrote in celebration, as another excited follower added: “CANNOT PHYSICALLY OR EMOTIONALLY WAIT FOR THIS.”
The mum-of-four joins a long list of stars who have hopped into the comedian’s GoPro-loaded SUV for a cruise around Los Angeles and a drive-by sing-along of their smash hits.
The likes of Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and even the former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, have previously joined James for a karaoke car sesh – and just like her predecessors, Victoria has a vast catalogue of songs to choose from.
The model and singer first rose to fame in the nineties as part of the all-female mega-group the Spice Girls, who sold 85 million records worldwide and churned out numerous hits, including Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life.
Victoria went on to sign a solo record contract with Virgin Records and Telstar Records, with her first release, Out of Your Mind featuring Dane Bowers, reaching number two in the UK Singles Chart.
