Twenty repairs have been carried out on a single stretch of road. Staffordshire County Council has repaired the A522 Tean Road, in Cheadle, between its junctions with Charles Street and Huntley Lane.

The repairs included filling potholes, refreshing road markings, hedge cutting, and fixing kerbs, ironwork, footways and signs.

Councillor Mark Deaville, cabinet member for strategic highways, said: “I am pleased that these essential improvements on Tean Road have been completed with minimal disruption to the Cheadle community. I want to thank local residents and businesses for their patience and support during the works. With these improvements now complete, Tean Road will be safer and more reliable for everyone who uses it.”
