Seeing as our letter of acceptance to Hogwarts hasn't been forthcoming, Bothwell School Of Witchcraft is the next best thing: a fictional school of magic where guests can immerse themselves in a live action Harry Potter-esque experience. Ooooh.
If nothing sounds more appealing than trying your hand at witchcraft and wizardry, grab your broomstick/flying car/Bothwell Express over to Herstmonceux Castle, East Sussex, this April 26-29, 2018 for a four-day all-inclusive experience.
As the Bothwell School of Witchcraft website details, the live action role play (LARP) event offers a place where "you can finally live out your dream of becoming a real life student of magic".
"The story, characters, props and scenery will bring our school to life and leave you with an unforgettable experience!" organisers write.
"You'll stay for 4 days, full board, and be sorted into your house, take part in lessons, attend a banquet, explore the grounds and meet weird and wonderful creatures. All of this takes place in our enchanting 15th century castle.
"The event runs much like a murder mystery. You'll be given a role to play and a story will unfold around you where you have to interact with other characters. It's just just like being in a movie or video game! We'll provide the robes, so all you'll need is a wand and good humour.
"If you've never experienced anything like this before, don't worry. We cater for all backgrounds; you can get as much or as little involved as you like and we will have all you need to have a great time."
The event is for over-18s only, and while it does sound very Harry Potter-esque, they are careful to note they have no affiliation with Hogwarts and Warner Bros. studio.
Still, anything that involves a bit of magic? Yes please.
