Two thieving shoppers bought items from Subway and Boots - using someone else's bank card. The bank card was taken from a cash machine at The Potteries Centre, in Hanley, after a woman forgot to remove it.

It was then used to buy items in Subway and Boots. The theft was reported at 2.15pm on Wednesday 27 November.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We received a report that two women took the card from a cash machine at The Potteries Centre car park, on Bryan Street. The victim left it in the machine by accident after withdrawing money. The card was later used to purchase items in Subway and Boots in the town. We passed details of the incident and the suspects to our local officers in the town. The incident has now been reported to Action Fraud, the national reporting centre for fraud and cybercrime."
