Moises Caicedo has been told to keep enjoying his football after a dream start to the campaign.

The Albion midfielder is attracting widespread praise as he kicks off the biggest season of his career so far.

He is likely to be the midfield heartbeat for club and country in a winter which also includes the World Cup in Qatar, where he is expected to start for Ecuador.

Caicedo was hugely impressive in the opening win at Manchester United but Graham Potter is keen not to put too much pressure on him.

The Albion boss said: “I thought his first-half performance was so impressive.

“He is not that old and is still adapting and learning but he has great qualities.

“He’s fantastic, he really is.

“I think, for young players, they just need to play more games and not put too much pressure on them but we enjoy working with him.

“He’s a great guy and I think you could see his quality.”

Caicedo told his Instagram followers he was “living a dream” on a post after the game.

But he also made it clear Albion will go to all Prem stadia with confidence this season.

He told ESPN in South America: “The idea was to win, as we did.

“We didn’t come here to lose or to draw because we are a very competitive team and we want to win at any ground we play at.”

Caicedo is expected to make only the tenth Prem appearance of his fledging career when Newcastle visit the Amex on Saturday.
