Power Out in Parts of San Antonio as Stormy Weather Continues Across Texas

Thousands of San Antonio residents were without power on Saturday, June 3, as severe thunderstorms brought heavy rainfall and lightning to the Texan city.

Almost 10,000 people were suffering from weather-related power outages in the early hours of Saturday, utility provider CPS Energy said. The number of clients affected had gone down by Saturday morning as crews worked to restore power, an outage map showed.

A severe thunderstorm warning for the region expired early on Saturday, but stormy weather was expected through Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
