'Prankster' Admits to Swapping the Sleeves on Vegetarian and Meat Lasagnes for Fun

From Men's Health

Let's be honest, the world is full of idiots. Take this guy for example, who gets his kicks from swapping the sleeves on vegetarian and meat ready meals.

Posting on the Facebook group 'Northern Ireland Craic', the 'prankster' revealed: "Some mornings I like to pop in to Tesco & switch the cardboard sleeves around on these just for fun."

While this guy is clearly a few vegetarian or meat-filled sandwiches short of a picnic - or just has way too much time on his hands - the rest of the internet did rally round to tell the 'prankster' how ill-advised it is to try and trick vegetarians into eating meat.

"Please don't do this. Some people have medical reasons for eating a vegetarian diet including allergies and the inability to process meat," said one angry commentator. "This could be dangerous."

"Anyone wanting to do this for "lols" needs a good kick up the arse," added another.

People become vegetarians for all sorts of reasons, including health, religious convictions, concerns about animal welfare or just because they want eat in a way that avoids excessive use of environmental resources.

Trying to trick them into eating meat is at best a really insensitive thing to do and is potentially dangerous.

Thankfully Tesco, the prankster's supermarket of choice, seems to agree and says it is aware of the Facebook post and is monitoring the situation.

In case you were wondering which side of the fence we fall on, we're very much on the side of people who don't think it's ok to trick people into eating meat. And to the 'prankster' we say: get yourself a hobby, mate, because getting your lols from swapping the sleeves on ready meals just makes you seem weird.
