The weirdest comic book adaptation of them all, Preacher, has released a trailer for the back half of season three.

And yes, it's still weird.

Based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, the AMC series is not for the faint hearted. God, Satan, vampires and Hitler all in one show is rather a lot.

The trailer shows Jessie's Gran'ma is causing all sorts of problems for the gang – having meetings with Satan isn't ideal for everyone else – and it's heavily suggested by Tulip that they just kill her.

Producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin joined the cast at their panel at San Diego Comic-Con today (July 21) and they had a lot to say about what was to come.

According to Catlin, we should really look forward to how this season ends and sets things up for future seasons.

"I think it's one of the biggest episodes of the series. We sort of scatter our characters to the four winds," Sam said.

He explained (via CBR) that it was all about the three protagonists realising just how much they need each other to survive.

"It comes together in a pretty crazy way. The characters realise by the end of it that their fates are tied together."

Rogen added: "I think the season finale of this season really sets up the stuff that, if you're a fan of the comic, sets up the stuff you want to see."

Preacher airs on AMC in the US.
