Shaughna, who is expecting her first child with partner Billy, told fans on her Instagram Stories that she is currently in hospital but, thankfully, mother and baby are doing well.
Posting a photo of a heart-rate monitor, Shaughna wrote: "Came to the hospital this morning because I've been having a strange pain in my belly for the last few days that was worrying me.
"Baby is happy and chilling but I've got an infection that needs treating.
"I always get scared that I'm wasting the hospital's time or that what I'm feeling might just be normal when your body is growing a baby, but I'm glad I listened to my instinct."
Shaughna recently spoke about her future wedding plans to partner Billy, though the couple aren't engaged yet.
Describing how she's come to the realisation that "marriage isn't a necessity," Shaughna said: "I don't need to be married to feel like I'm in a stable relationship.
"When I was younger, I always thought, 'Oh, I definitely want to get married before kids.' But as you get older, you just realise it's not that important."
Shaughna added: "Also, getting a house gives a different sense of value for money. I take my hat off to people who spend thousands of pounds on a wedding. Even if I do have a wedding, it is going to be small – it'll be in the council!"
Love Island will return in early 2023 with new host Maya Jama. It airs on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
