Premier League season in numbers: Chelsea wins, Manchester United draws and Alexis Sanchez's late goal

Huge revenues allow Chelsea and Antonio Conte to compete for Europe's top talent

The 2016-17 Premier League season is over and it is a campaign Chelsea fans are unlikely to forget in a hurry.

Antonio Conte guided the Blues to their fifth top-flight title of the modern era, with a 13-match winning streak between October and December vital to their triumph.

But there were plenty more memorable numbers and milestones played out along the way.

Chelsea forward Pedro proved to be the quickest player out of the blocks after finding the net against Manchester United with just 30 seconds on the clock.

Everton midfielder Tom Davies matched the achievement by scoring against Leicester within half a minute of kick-off.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez left it very late against Burnley by scoring eight minutes into injury time.

The Chilean's penalty proved to be the latest goal of the season but even he could not outdo Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane, who both managed to score four goals in a single game.

Manchester United's campaign fell shorts of the standards expected at Old Trafford, with Jose Mourinho's side recording a league-high total of 15 draws.
