A Prestwick restaurant is closed this week as it receives a face-lift before the festive period.

Lido will be closed from today (Monday, November 18) before reopening on Friday, November 22 as owners Buzzworks seek to transform the venue with “a partial refurbishment”.

Among the “exciting” new design features is a total restyling of the Main Street restaurant to bring it in line with its sister restaurant Lido Troon, as well as the installation of new windows throughout the premises.

Customers are able to make bookings from Friday after the work has been completed.

Leith Andrews, who is leading up the transformation at Lido Prestwick, said: “We have lots of exciting plans for Lido Prestwick, including introducing a brand-new ‘To Go’ takeaway offering which will allow people to order their favourite dishes online before popping into the venue to collect them.

“But guests need not worry, as we’ll still be offering our much-loved all-day Mediterranean vibe, delicious dishes and, of course, a warm welcome from our friendly team. Some things are just too good to change.”
