Signs have gone up in Belfast city centre to suggest work has begun at a new Primark store.

A proposal submitted to Belfast City Council suggested the fashion retail giant is planning to open a dedicated Primark Home Store at Fountain House on Donegall Place.

After the August 2018 Bank Buildings fire, Fountain House was the temporary site for Primark Belfast which opened in April 2019 before it returned to Castle Street in 2022.
