Looking for a pair of jeans can sometimes be a tall order. Picking from a huge amount of styles and colours can be daunting at the best of times.

But Primark have recently gone viral for their sculpting jeans, which cost just £18. Journalist Charlotte Smith went on the hunt to find the jeans - and she says that they did not disappoint.

Charlotte wrote: "I was looking for a new pair of jeans, so I decided to check online for the most talked-about brands. Before long, I came across a pair at Primark that shoppers on TikTok were raving about, describing them as "flattering" and "comfortable".

"The jeans people talked about were Primark's Paula Echevarría Sculpting Bootcut Jeans. So I decided to go to my nearest store to see if the jeans were as good as people were saying and if they were indeed 'sculpting'.

"Considering I'm only 5ft3 and petite, I went to the changing rooms with a size six to try on. Once I got them on, I could quickly see why the jeans impressed so many people.

"The bootcut denim jeans are only £18, designed with a sculpting effect and have five pockets. They felt comfortable, the denim seemed a nice texture and had good stretch.

"Bootcut is a flattering design as it makes your legs look longer than they really are and creates an illusion of a curvier figure. I turned around to see if the jeans 'sculptured' my silhouette, and I was pleased with the results. As you can see from the pictures I took, the jeans hugged my figure and gave me a flattering shape.

"For the price and I didn't hesitate to buy them. Even when I showed my mum, who was with me at the time, she complimented me on the jeans and said I'd be a fool not to buy them.

"On Primark's website, a description of the jeans reads: "These sculpting indigo bootcut jeans from the Primark Presents Paula Echevarría collection are a great way to embrace Y2K style. They're cut from classic cotton denim for comfortable wear and feature signature denim hallmarks, like belt loops, a button and concealed front fastening, and a five-pocket design.

"These jeans showcase a retro-inspired bootcut silhouette that's fitted through the thigh before flaring out slightly from the knee down, which offers a sculpted effect for a flattering look. Pair these jeans with chunky trainers for a casual feel or lean into what they were made for a cute pair of boots."

"I opted for the regular leg length and bought the indigo colour, although there is a version in black available for the same price. The material composition is 92% Cotton, 6% Elastomultiester, and 2% Elastane.

"I bought the jeans last Saturday, and since I had brunch on Sunday, I decided to wear them out. As much as I love how they look and feel on me, I made a huge mistake of not washing them first.

"After returning from my brunch, I noticed my white trainers had blue marks - exactly across where the jeans fall. It would seem that the dye from the jeans had stained my trainers, it didn't help that it was raining that day too.

"After going out of my way to buy some stain remover, I got the marks out, but it took me a long time. But given that the jeans are only £18, I shouldn't have expected anything less. Once I've washed them, I'll be wearing them out again - but a word of caution for anyone who plans on getting themselves a pair, don't make the same mistake as me!"
