Prince Andrew was heckled as he followed Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin through Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, alongside his siblings and King Charles III.

As the procession made its way from Holyroodhouse to St Giles Cathedral on Monday afternoon (12 September), a man standing amongst mourners shouted at the Duke of York.

Police officers moved in swiftly and Police Scotland later said: “A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with a breach of the peace on the Royal Mile around 2.50pm on Monday, 12 September 2022.”

Other members of the crowd shouted “God Save the King” to counteract the heckler.
