Eugenie and Beatrice can avoid being 'turfed out' if Prince Andrew sticks to a key agreement, the Duke of York has been told. Amid an ongoing row in the Royal Family over Andrew staying at Royal Lodge, his daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have been issued a message.

The Duke of York has long wished for his two daughters to inherit Royal Lodge, his home in Windsor, as Andrew signed a 75-year lease for the property with the Crown Estate in 2003. But the disgraved 64-year-old has been in constant conflict with King Charles over the property.

Robin Edwards, a property buying agent at Curetons, spoke to GB News in an update, saying: “As long as Prince Andrew can continue to pay the not insignificant upkeep costs of maintaining Royal Lodge as per the terms of his 2003 lease, King Charles and the freeholder the Crown Estate won’t be able to turf him or his descendants out."

The property expert added: “The 75-year lease agreement, in lieu of rent, requires Andrew to undertake refurbishments of Royal Lodge at his own expense. In September 2002 that was conservatively estimated at £7.5million excluding VAT.

"The costs are likely to have grown significantly since then with time and inflation. The property is Grade II listed and reportedly requires a huge amount of work. Photos of the exterior have shown crumbling stonework and peeling paint.

"Visitors to the house have also described that much of the internal decor hasn’t been updated since the late Queen Mother moved into the property in the 1950s.” Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are expecting their second child early in the New Year, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

Their first child together, Sienna Elizabeth, was born in September 2021. The couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary a few months ago after marrying at Windsor Castle in July 2020.
