The bubbly TV host did her very best to get a few words from the newly engaged Prince, but instead of a chat she was completely pied on live TV!
Despite continually shouting, ‘Prince Harry, you’re live on This Morning’, her cries were left unanswered as Harry approached her in Nottingham earlier today.
But what was most brutal was the fact Harry looked directly at Alison before deciding to duck and swerve her as she tried to thrust the microphone in his face – epic snub!
After the incident, Alison shouted: ‘He dodged me! He curve-balled me!’, much to the amusement of presenters Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
But her interviewing technique didn’t sit well with viewers at home, with many branding her ‘disrespectful’ and ’embarrassing’ for how she tried to get Harry’s attention.
One posted: ‘Alison Hammond bellowing at the royal family like a mad teenage fangirl-one of the most cringe worthy bits of tv I’ve ever seen #ThisMorning.’
Another fumed: ‘It was embarrassing and disrespectful, she wouldn’t shout Liz at the queen so why shout megs at princess to be. If Harry swerving wasn’t obvious enough that it was cringe worthy tv, nothing will. They were there to see public not Alison live on #thismorning!’
While another said: ‘I don’t blame Prince Harry giving you a curve ball, yelling while he was talking with people, you just seemed like an attention seeker, screaming your head off.
‘I love you to bits normally, Allison, but not today!’
However, despite many viewers criticising Alison, This Morning made light of the situation on their Twitter account.
‘If you need a lesson in persistence, just speak to @AlisonHammond2 – our new Royal Correspondent! (sic),’ they joked.
While she may have been unsuccessful with Harry, Alison did manage to get a few words from Meghan, who appeared to look uncomfortable after Alison screamed, ‘Megs, Megs!’ at her.
‘Congratulations on behalf of This Morning!’ Alison said, to which Meghan politely responded with, ‘Thank you’.
