Prince Harry and Meghan will join other members of the Royal Family to receive the Queen’s coffin at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will join King Charles, the Queen Consort, the Prince and Princess of Wales and Prince Andrew in London this evening.

The family will also be joined by Princess Anne, who accompanied the casket on its flight from Edinburgh, and Prince Edward, along with Sir Tim Laurence and Sophie Wessex.

Princess Beatrice and Edo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank as well as Zara Philips and Mike Tindall will also attend.

It is hoped the meeting could mark a possible healing of the rift between Harry and Meghan and senior members of the Royal Family.

King Charles III spoke of his love for Prince Harry and Meghan in his first address to Britain and the world as monarch.

He said on Friday he wished to “express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas”.

The move was regarded by royal commentators as a potential bid to finally draw a line under the controversy of recent years.

While it is hoped the Queen’s death has prompted a potential truce between William with reports this week they could walk side by side behind her coffin at the funeral on Monday.

William and Kate and Harry and Meghan came together outside Windsor Castle on Saturday to see the tributes to the Queen and meet members of the public gathered outside.

Oprah Winfrey said earlier she hopes mourning the Queen will be an “opportunity for peacemaking” for William and Harry.

The talk show host carried out the bombshell interview with Harry and Meghan last year which deepened the rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and other members of the royal family.

The couple were interviewed after moving to California following their announcement that they would no longer be full-time working royals.

The landmark interview included claims that an unnamed royal mentioned the colour of their son Archie’s skin before he was born and that Kate made Meghan cry in a row before her wedding.
