The coronavirus pandemic, and subsequent lockdowns around the world, have affected everyone's travel plans including – it transpires – those of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and baby Archie.

The Sussexes stepped down as senior royals at the end of March, saying they would split their time between the UK and the US. They initially moved to Canada and have now relocated to LA, which is where they were reportedly due to fly back from this week to attend a very special family occasion: Princess Beatrice's wedding.

Beatrice's nuptials to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were due to take place at St James' Palace in London today (29th May) followed by a small reception at Buckingham Palace but have been postponed due to the pandemic.

According to Marie Claire, all three of the Sussexes (yep, even one-year-old Archie!) were due to attend Beatrice's special day but their plans to visit the UK have been shelved for now. As yet there's no word on when Beatrice's wedding will go ahead.

It's not the only event Harry has missed. He was also forced to cancel an appearance at the London Marathon in April. The event, which Harry regularly attends with William, has now been moved to October.

Both Meghan and Harry have been keeping busy in lockdown volunteering for local charities and staying in touch with organisations around the world via video link.

They've also been keeping up with family back in the UK by video calling the Queen on her birthday and no doubt dialling in to ensure Grandpa Charles and Uncle Wills weren't left out of Archie's first birthday celebrations earlier this month.

Let's hope the Sussexes will be back in the UK soon.
