US TV network Lifetime is planning a film all about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle romance.

The channel are reportedly keen to turn the couple's relationship into a movie, similar to the one that aired when his brother Prince William was about to tie the knot with Kate Middleton.

According to Deadline, casting for Harry and Meghan: The Royal Love Story – which was briefly mentioned by head of programming Liz Gateley during a chat on Sunday – is already underway.

The film will chronicle how the pair fell in love and conducted their early relationship in secret all the way to the present day.

The programme will also show the intense scrutiny their relationship has come under.

Directing the project will be Menhaj Huda, who previously worked on The Royals, which starred Liz Hurley as Queen Helena.

An air date is yet to be set for the film but it is thought that it could be on screens across the pond in early May, just weeks before the big day.

Prince Harry and Ms Markle are set to marry at St George’s Chapel on Saturday 19 May 2018.

The historic chapel is in Windsor Castle and is the same venue his father the Prince Of Wales and Camilla Parker Bowles received a blessing in 2005.
