Prince Harry Is Reportedly Opting Out of a Royal Christmas Tradition Because of Meghan Markle

Husband of the year!

From Cosmopolitan

Hello, good morning, and welcome to today's edition of 'What the Royals Are Doing for Christmas.' A couple of days ago, a former royal butler shared that Christmas at Sandringham is "like Downton Abbey on speed" and basically everyone invited to the royal shindig usually spends their time vying for the queen's attention/favor, when, tbh, I'd be sucking up to Prince George, adorable future monarch, if I were them.

And this year, it looks like Christmas as Sandringham will change slightly because the addition of Duchess Meghan Markle; according to the Daily Mail, Prince Harry will opt out of the traditional Boxing Day pheasant shoot to show solidarity with his wife, who loves animals and hates hunting/blood sports.

Even though Harry has taken part in the Christmas event with his brother and father for more than 20 years, it looks like he's putting Megs before the family tradition. A royal source shares that "Harry’s always loved hunting...But now it looks like Harry’s shooting days are over." Apparently, Harry also skipped the pheasant shoot last year, because then-girlfriend Meghan "wasn't happy" about the event, and ever since Harry has been skipping royal hunts.

And all I can say to this news is good for Meghan for keeping conviction in what she believes in, and for finding a man who supports her/is also a prince.
