Prince Harry Said He Wants to "Stop" 'The Crown' Before It Gets to His Life

From Cosmopolitan

  • Prince Harry allegedly told his biographer he wanted to "stop" The Crown before the show caught up to his life.

  • Harry and Meghan recently stepped down as working members of the royal family.

A lot has been going on with the royals lately thanks to Prince Andrew's association with Jeffrey Epstein, the entire fam being embroiled in a speculated "feud," and ah yes—Meghan Markle and Prince Harry being all "byeeeeee" and moving to North America to live their best lives away from the palace spotlight. And amid all this drama, we, the people, can agree on one thing: The Crown's future seasons are gonna be amazing.

While there is no confirmation that the Netflix show will actually cover current events in the royal fam, apparently Prince Harry isn't down with them trying—at least according to his biographer Angela Levin.

Angela told BBC that Harry brought up the show during their first meeting for her 2018 book Harry: Conversations With the Prince, and said he would "stop" The Crown if they tried to cover his life.

"Harry, when I went to interview him in the Palace, the first thing he said to me when he shook my hand was, 'Are you watching The Crown?'" Levin said. "And I hadn't been at the time, I felt very embarrassed and I got it and he said, 'I'm going to make sure I stop it before they get to me.'"

Honestly, it kinda sounds like he was joking! And considering the royal fam are public figures, there's not much they can do about The Crown even if they wanted to. Either way, the show isn't expected to run into modern times—executive producer Suzanne Mackie said "To be honest, whatever the life of The Crown is after where we are now, I doubt we'll ever go as far into the present day. I think we'll probably—we won't travel into the present day."

Of course, "probably" isn't "definitely" so ya never know!
