Prince Harry sends out invites for 'Christmas event without Meghan'
Prince Harry has reportedly planned a special Christmas event - but Meghan Markle won't be joining him. The Duke of Sussex is planning to host a festive video call as part as his role as Global Ambassador for charity Scotty’s Little Soldiers, which supports military children.
The call is anticipated to feature as many members of the charity as possible and is scheduled for 6pm on Tuesday, December 10. According to Scotty’s Little Soldiers, Prince Harry is eager to spread festive cheer and acknowledge the challenges faced by the children during the holiday season.
An email sent to charity members read: "Prince Harry would like to jump on a call with as many of our members as possible to wish them all a Merry Christmas. He appreciates that the festive season can be hard for our members and wants them to know he is thinking of them."

During the call, Prince Harry will greet guests and answer pre-submitted questions, Express reports. To manage the high number of participants, most will remain muted.
But five lucky members will help run the session and interact directly with the Prince. The charity added: "This is your chance to get to know the Duke loads better and find out what Christmas is like for a Prince!."
The Duke of Sussex, 40, has been an advocate for Scotty’s since becoming its Global Ambassador. The organisation was founded in 2010 by Army widow Nikki Scott, who was inspired by the experiences of her two young children after the death of her husband Corporal Lee Scott, in Afghanistan, in 2009.
Last year, Prince Harry surprised them with a Christmas message while dressed as Spider-Man. He also handed out sweets to children from Scotty’s Little Soldiers during a Remembrance Sunday march past the Cenotaph.
Harry’s latest engagement follows a string of solo events in recent months which included a trip to the UK for the WellChild awards, solo engagements in New York and a visit to Africa. The Duke also made a surprise visit to Vancouver in Canada earlier this week where he promoted the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.
His Canada visit comes shortly after his wife Meghan made another appearance on her own last week, attending a glitzy launch party in LA to celebrate a new haircare line she has invested in from Highbrow Hippie.
