Prince Harry Tumbles Off Pony In Polo Match

Prince Harry has fallen off his polo pony twice during a charity match in South Africa.

Harry first took a tumble about 20 minutes into the match at Val de Vie Estate near Cape Town, falling over the pony's head.

He quickly got to his feet and walked off the field before returning to the game a few minutes later.

As the match was coming to an end, Harry, 31, fell off his pony again - and this time got to his feet and did a comedy bow to the crowd.

His friend and polo rival Nacho Figueras also pretended to fall off, teasing his friend.

The model has been a long term supporter of Prince Harry's Sentebale charity, which the match was raising funds for.

He told Sky News that it was clear that Prince Harry "really cared" for the charity.

Harry was taking part in the sixth annual Sentebale polo match - an annual event that raises money for the charity he set up in memory of his late mother Diana.

The glamorous polo field near Cape Town couldn't be further from the mountains of Lesotho, where on Thursday he opened the new mamohato children's centre, to support those living in extreme poverty, many of them with HIV and Aids.

The fund-raiser - which has been staged in the UK, America, Brazil, Barbados and Abu Dhabi - has raised more than £3m over the past six years.

England polo player Malcolm Borwick regularly plays with Prince Harry and Prince William in charity matches.

He told Sky News: "The boys - Prince Harry and the Duke of Cambridge - only play polo to raise money for charity."

Prince Harry certainly came out of his polo falls better than his father Prince Charles, who broke his right arm in a fall during a polo match in 1990.
