According to a royal expert, Prince Harry is deeply upset about his strained relationship with his brother Prince William and is further saddened by the impact this could have on his children Archie and Lilibet.

Despite ongoing tensions within the Royal Family, Harry returned to the United Kingdom in February for a meeting with King Charles following his cancer diagnosis. The pair reportedly shared a 30-minute discussion.

Royal expert and author Tom Quinn exclusively told The Mirror that Harry's heartache over his estrangement from William is profound, especially considering the potential implications for his own kids, whom he wishes a better life for.

In Quinn's words: "We know that Harry's deepest upset concerns not just his lack of relationship with George, Charlotte and Louis, but also his own children's lack of a relationship with their cousins."

The author continued: "Harry and Meghan would love to get round the problem - they would love it if the cousins could meet regularly and have a positive relationship as they grow up, but they cannot see a way to do it while they themselves, Harry and Meghan, are estranged. Harry has said that he hopes the cousins can at least be friends as adults."

The royal commentator has suggested that Meghan Markle seems to have moved past the drama surrounding the monarchy with her focus now firmly fixed on other pursuits. Meanwhile Harry continues to grapple with bygone issues, reports the Mirror.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sent shockwaves across the UK when they renounced their senior royal roles in 2020, setting off a chain of revelations about their experiences within 'the Firm'. According to Mr Quinn, this fallout continues to be part of Harry's present.

He went on: "Meghan appears to have moved on to some extent but then she was only part of the Royal Family for a relatively short time and she has far more to focus on in the States than her husband has."

Since making a move to Montecito, California, Meghan has shone as the key player behind the pair's US business endeavours. On this, Mr Quinn added: "She's the main driver for their commercial enterprises in the States, where, having taken the dog for a walk each morning, Harry has a little to do beyond brooding over the past."
