The royal family were out in force to celebrate the King's official birthday at the Trooping the Colour ceremony - but there was one young member in particular that drew attention.

Prince Louis has garnered something of a reputation for stealing the spotlight at royal events - from sticking his tongue out at mum Kate Middleton during the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations to letting out a huge yawn at the Coronation ceremony as his grandfather King Charles was crowned. And it was no different for the six-year-old prince at Trooping the Colour, where he was spotted getting up to his usual antics.

Louis travelled in a carriage for the traditional procession alongside his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and their mother as the Princess of Wales made her first public appearance following her cancer diagnosis. In a change from last year, Kate did not join senior family members on a dais, but watched the spectacle from the Duke of Wellington's former office with her children - and it was here that Louis was seen having some mixed reactions to the ceremony.

As Trooping the Colour got under way, Louis seemed more interested in a blind pull cord at the window, and was seen pulling at it as he talked to mum Kate who tried in vain to redirect his attention. And the event soon proved to be a bit much for the young price, who was later seen letting out a huge yawn as he watched the Horse Guards Parade event.

However, Louis seemed to enjoy at least some of the show, seen dancing side to side along with the music while his more sensible siblings stood behind him. And as ever, the prince's no-filter approach to royal life captured the hearts of people watching Trooping the Colour at home, who took to social media to share their love for the cheeky youngster.

"Prince Louis is a whole vibe," one person said alongside a clip of his dancing, where nine-year-old Princess Charlotte appeared to have a stern word in his year.

"How I've missed seeing all the Wales'! Especially Prince Louis and his cuteness," another royal fan gushed.

A third viewer added: "Prince Louis doing what he does best... entertaining us all."

And someone else joked: "Prince Louis always gives the impression he’s fighting the wee voice in his head telling him to run absolute riot."
