Prince Philip 'car crash parts' put up for auction on eBay

Debris from the Duke of Edinburgh’s car accident have reportedly been put up for auction on eBay, reaching a highest bid of £65,900.

The ‘Prince Philip Car Crash Parts’ listing shows fragments of glass left on the roadside, after the Duke’s Land Rover flipped following a collision with a Kia near the Sandringham estate on Thursday afternoon.

The opportunist seller said that all proceeds from the auction would go to charity. 119 bids had been placed on the parts.

An eBay spokesperson said: “This listing has been removed in line with our policy relating to the sale of any item that seeks to profit from human suffering or tragedy.”

While the Duke was uninjured, the driver of the Kia, a 28-year-old woman, suffered cuts to her knee while the passenger, Emma Fairweather, 46, sustained a broken wrist. Norfolk Police also confirmed a nine-month-old baby boy was in the Kia at the time of the incident and was uninjured.

Ms Fairweather was interviewed on Monday episode of This Morning and spoke about why she’s upset she still hasn’t received any contact from Prince Philip.

The Queen’s lady-in-waiting Mary Morrison has been in touch with Ms Fairweather and left her a voicemail message.

The Mirror reports the message said: “The Queen has asked me to telephone you to pass on her warmest good wishes following the accident and Her Majesty is very eager to know how you are and hope that everything is going as well as can be expected.”
