Prince Philip Released From Hospital

The Duke of Edinburgh has been discharged from hospital in Aberdeen follwing treatment for a bladder infection.

He spent five nights in the city's Royal Infirmary after being after falling ill at Balmoral.

Philip, 91, had been holidaying with the Queen when he started to feel unwell.

He is suffering from a recurrence of the infection that led to him missing some of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Sky correspondent Gerard Tubb, who was outside the hospital, said: "He looked perfectly well when he was leaving."

Tubb said the Duke is expected to attend the opening of the Paralympics with the Queen, but it is not known whether he will make the ceremony.
