Prince Philip is to carry out his last official engagement today.
The Duke of Edinburgh will meet Royal Marine servicemen who have completed a 1.664-mile trek, before stepping down for good.
He may still choose to attend royal events alongside The Queen after his official calendar
Prince Philip has completed an impressive 22,219 solo engagements since 1952, and in doing so has gained a reputation for having a wicked sense of humour and an ability to regularly put his foot in it.
