Despite officially being on paternity leave following the birth of his third royal baby on Monday, Prince William made a surprise appearance at the annual Anzac Day service at Westminster Abbey yesterday, much to the delight of Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and royal fans.

However, we have a feeling the prince may have regretted his decision somewhat, as he was filmed having a tough time keeping his eyes open during the service.

In footage from the event, the new dad was filmed appearing to drift off a few times, then waking back up with numerous blinks. We've all been there, Will!

This, my friends, is a clear indication that the father-of-three might not be having his full recommended eight hours of slumber this week as the parent of a newborn.

Fortunately, the new parents will have some help this week in the form of Kate’s mother and brother, Carole and James Middleton, who arrived at Kensington Palace on Wednesday to meet their newest family member and to check in on their family.

Prince William’s adorable nodding off moment came moments after he told reporters his son was ‘very well, thanks’ and that everyone is ‘in good form, luckily’.

The new dad added: ‘Sleeping's going reasonably well so far, so he's behaving himself, which is good.’

William also joked with a member of the public that his newborn has a ‘strong name’, amid rumours he and Kate Middleton will announce what the new royal will be called at some point this week.

Keep us waiting why don’t you, guys?
