Prince William had some football fans wooning as he was spotted cheering on England as they kicked off their Euro 2024 quarter final clash in Germany. The Prince of Wales, who is also the President of the Football Association, travelled to Dusseldorf today to support Gareth Southgate's side in their match with Switzerland.

The heir to the throne, who supports Aston Villa, proved he was a true football fan as he joined in songs with the crowd. He was spotted grinning ahead of kick off, before taking part in the national anthem.

But others were distracted from the action on the pitch by William's suave looks. One fan wrote on X: "Pictures don’t do Prince William justice, he looks great on screen."

Another said: "Prince William is looking fresh and giving us Mr Darcy football Prince today." While another fan commented: "Blue blue blue eyes. HRH Prince William, The Prince of Wales today."

"Prince William, or rather Prince Charming, charms everyone," another user added.

William, like millions of other Brits, was among those to have suffered through the round of 16 match with Slovakia. After the team’s narrow 2-1 win, he tweeted: “Emotional rollercoaster! Let's go @‌England ! Quarter finals here we come! W”.
