Prince William And Kate Middleton Have Special 'Charisma'

Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in Los Angeles over the weekend,  following their tour of Canada.

The Royal couple attended the BAFTA party and Stephen Fry has revealed that he was surprised to see how star struck some of Hollywood's A List stars were, by the couple.

The star told the BBC: "There's a special lustre [about William and Kate] that you just can't recreate.

"If they managed to reproduce Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable, and they came in the room at one end and the Cambridges came in at the other, all of Hollywood would be staring at the Cambridges.”

He continued: "They have a very particular charisma at the moment and that's something that is wonderful to take advantage of if you're British."

However, Stephen expressed his hope that the Prince would allow himself to be a little impressed by the stars in his presence: "[Prince William] had the pleasure of sitting opposite Barbra Streisand and he'd be a sorry figure indeed if he were not impressed by that.

"But then if you're British you're struck by Barbra Streisand, if you're American you're really struck by a member of the Royal Family. We have something we can give them that no other nation on earth can give."
