Over the past few years, Prince George has captured the hearts of the nation with his cheeky personality, and royalists have been keen to know more about the daily comings and goings of the future heir to the throne.

Now The Duke of Cambridge has revealed what his son George’s favourite film is - and it’s a very relatable classic for the young royal.

During a recent engagement, Prince William was quizzed on the young king’s viewing habits and the movies he loves to watch over and over.

“He quite likes The Lion King, we’ve watched that a few times,” the Duke answered in an interview, which was posted to Twitter.

The 1994 Disney film, which is an animated musical all about a lion cub who rules the animal kingdom, is an apt choice for George, who is third in line for the throne.

“We’ve watched Octonauts several times, he has watched some Lego movies as well, so he’s watched a lot of things like that,” Prince William continued.

The Duke of Cambridge also revealed that keeping cheeky George away from the TV was turning into a bit of a power struggle.

“Trying to keep him off the television is hard work,” he added.

The Duke revealed earlier this month that Prince George was, rather relatably, already fed up of going to school.

Despite looking nervous on his first day, his father revealed that the little Prince’s excitement for full-time education is waning and that he struggles to get him to the school gates every day.

"I just dropped George off and he didn't want to go,” the Duke told a fellow parent on a visit to Milton Keynes.

And who can blame him really? When it comes to trudging out in the grim October weather or sitting on the sofa watching Disney films on repeat - we know which one we’d choose.
